If a one-wheeled cycle is called a unicycle…
and a two-wheeled machine a bicycle (or bike, or motor bike)…
and one with three wheels a tricycle (or trike)…
why do the media persist in calling a four-wheeled cycle a ‘quad bike’?
Surely quadricycle, or quad or motor quad would make more sense.
